From playing miniature to seeing a show, there are a lot of fun things to do in Tribeca.

Tribeca is an amazing neighborhood with a lot of great attractions and iconic buildings. There’s something to do for everyone’s liking, including having wine with a view, seeing a famous building from a movie, going to a theater, and much more. Because of the large variety of activities in the neighborhood, you shouldn’t miss out on Tribeca when you’re in NYC.

I made this list of the most fun activities in the neighborhood to help you out if you’re wondering what to do in Tribeca!

Best Things To Do in Tribeca

Play Miniature Golf at Pier 25

Pier 25 is a long pier that you can find in Hudson River Park in Tribeca.

The pier is the home of the only outdoor miniature golf in Manhattan, and at this place, you can have a fun time playing miniature golf while enjoying a view of the Hudson River.

The miniature golf course has 18 holes and features all kinds of unique elements, such as waterfalls, a cave, and elements with sand.

Whether you want to have a fun time with the whole family or have a romantic date, the miniature golf course at Pier 25 is a great place to go.

Playing miniature golf at this place is also very affordable as the price is $12 for adults and $5 for children.

Go to Roxy Cinema New York and See a Movie

Roxy Cinema is an independent arthouse movie theater that you can find at 2 Avenue of the Americas.

At the movie theater, you can see 35mm classics, rare movies, and first-run independent films.

In addition, a variety of events take place at Roxy Cinema and these are also great to check out if you’re looking for activities in Tribeca. For example, there are Q&A sessions with directors and actors.

While seeing a movie at this place, you can enjoy delicious popcorn, all kinds of candies, and many different types of drinks, including wine, cocktails, and beer.

You can also find the Roxy Bar at the movie theater, which is a dining venue where you can get classic American fair and craft cocktails, as well as other food and drink options.

See the Mini-Bean Sculpture

You can find a “Bean” sculpture in Tribeca. It’s one of the best sculptures in New York City and it’s a similar type of sculpture to the famous bean sculpture that you can find in the city of Chicago.

The sculpture was designed by the artist Anish Kapoor and is located at 56 Leonard Street, where it seems wedged underneath a building.

The sculpture is made of polished stainless steel plates that are welded together in such a way that you can not see any seams.

When you are in Tribeca, taking a photo of the sculpture can be a fun activity.

Go to the Ghostbusters Headquarters

The Ghostbusters Headquarters, which appears in the original 1984 Ghostbusters movie, can be seen in Manhattan’s Tribeca neighborhood.

The building is a real fire station of the New York City Fire Department that is still in use.

The exterior of the building appears in the Ghostbusters movie, but the interior shots of the building were taken somewhere else.

The firehouse building was built in the year 1903 and features a Beaux-Arts architectural style.

Keep in mind that you can check out the building and take a photo of the exterior, but you cannot go inside.

Besides being in the Ghostbusters movie, the firehouse also appeared in various other movies and TV series.

Enjoy Wine With a View at the City Vineyard

City Vineyard, which is part of City Winery, is a place that you can find at 233 West Street on Pier 26 in Tribeca.

At this place, you can enjoy delicious food and wine while taking in great views of the Hudson River at the same time.

The dinner menu of City Vineyard features various entrees, soups, salads, pizza, and many other dishes. For example, one of the best dishes to get is the “City Vineyard Burger”, which is made with brie, arugula, and cabernet onion jam.

While dining here, you can pair your food with any of the wines on the menu. There are wines from many regions in the world.

You can also do a wine tasting.

There are also shows at the City Vineyard and attending one of these is a great thing to do in Tribeca as well. For example, there are often events with live music.

See The Woolworth Building

The Woolworth Building is one of the most famous buildings in New York City, and you can it in the Tribeca neighborhood at 233 Broadway.

This is one of the city’s earliest skyscrapers, as it was completed in the year 1912.

The building consists of a lower base and a tower, both having about an equal number of floors. The Woolworth Building has 55 floors in total and has a height of about 792 feet. After its construction, the Woolworth Building was the tallest building in the world for about 17 years.

The building has a Neo-Gothic architectural style and was designed by the architect Cass Gilbert.

Enjoy Oysters With a View on a Historic Ship at Grand Banks

Grand Banks is an oyster bar that you can find on the large, historic wooden schooner, Sherman Zwicker. You can find the ship at Pier 25, close to the miniature golf that you can find on the pier.

At Grand Banks, you can enjoy delicious sustainably harvested oysters and unique cocktails while enjoying a view of the Hudson River. Besides oysters, there are also some other dishes, and the menu also features other drinks, including different types of wine.

If you want to have brunch at Grand Banks, that’s possible on the weekends from 10 AM to 2 PM.

Keep in mind that Grand Banks is closed during the colder months of the year.

Attend a Show at the BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center

The BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center is a performing arts venue that is situated at 199 Chambers Street. It is the longest-operating performance venue in Lower Manhattan.

At the theater, you can enjoy many different types of performances, such as dance performances, concerts, film screenings, and many other types. Both established as well as emerging artists perform at the theater.

The theater is also great to go to when you are in Tribeca with kids, as lots of family events take place here. For example, there are fun family musicals.

Check out the Jenga Tower

The Jenga Tower is a unique skyscraper that you can find at 56 Leonard Street. The building was completed in the year 2017.

With a height of 821 feet, the skyscraper is the tallest building in the Tribeca neighborhood. It has 60 floors in total.

The building has a unique design, which makes it interesting to check out the building. It features stacked floors that look like Jenga bricks. The design of the Jenga Tower also features a lot of glass

Below the building, you can find the mini-bean sculpture by the artist Anish Kapoor.

Relax at the AIRE Ancient Baths New York

AIRE Ancient Baths New York is a spa that’s perfect if you’re looking for a relaxing activity in Tribeca. You can find it at 88 Franklin Street and it is located in a restored building from the year 1883 that used to be a textile factory.

The industrial building makes for a beautiful and unique setting for a spa.

At AIRE Ancient Baths New York, there are various thermal baths with water that is at different temperatures that provide a relaxing experience.

You can also do different types of massages at this place to have an even more relaxing time. There are different massages to choose from, including couples massages, and there are other treatments to choose from too.

See the Staple Street Skybridge

The Staple Street Skybridge is a cast-iron footbridge over Staple Street. It connects two buildings with two different addresses.

The buildings on both sides of the bridge used to be part of the New York Hospital, and the bridge was built to connect the third floors of the two buildings.

Nowadays, the two spaces on both sides of the bridge are part of the same building, but this building has two addresses.

You can go for a walk in the neighborhood and then take a photo of the street and the Staple Street Skybridge.

Buy a Book at the Mysterious Book Shop

The Mysterious Book Shop is a bookshop that was founded in 1979. It used to be located at another place in Manhattan, but it moved to Tribeca at 58 Warren Street.

At the bookshop, you can find a large selection of all kinds of mystery fiction books and all the subgenres of this genre, such as thrillers, crime, and detective books.

You can also find rare books and collectibles at the Mysterious Book Shop.

Lots of events take place at this place that you can attend, including many in-person events with authors.

Each year, as part of the “Bibliomysteries” series, there are mystery stories that are written exclusively for the store. These stories are available at the store as a limited edition hardcover, and these are not available at other stores until a later time after publication. When you go to the store, you can buy such a book.

Have Brunch at Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs

Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs is a restaurant that is housed inside a historical bi-level townhouse that dates back to the year 1810, which you can find at 135 West Broadway. The restaurant has a cozy atmosphere and a beautiful interior design. Tiny’s and the Bar Upstairs also has a beautiful pink exterior.

You can have brunch at Tiny’s on the weekend, from 10:30 AM to 3:30 PM.

The brunch menu of this restaurant includes all kinds of classic brunch items, as well as unique dishes.

For example, you can get “Chicken and Waffles” at the restaurant, which is made with crispy buttermilk chicken and hot honey.

You can also get the “Superfood Pancakes”, which are made with beets, kale, ginger, celery, two poached eggs, and sunflower seeds.

Tiny’s also serves a delicious burger, which comes with caramelized onions, cheddar, mushrooms, provolone cheese, and dijonaise, and it is served with garlic fries.

Attend an Event of the Annual Tribeca Festival

The Tribeca Festival is an annual festival that makes for one of the most fun things to do in Tribeca. It was founded in 2001 by Robert De Niro and others and takes place in spring. During the festival, you can see film, music, art, and other forms of storytelling. In the past, the festival was known as the Tribeca Film Festival.

Whether you want to see a short, attend a talk, play a game, attend a premiere, or do something else, you can do so at the Tribeca Film Festival.

The different events of the festival are held at various venues, including outdoor venues.

Some of the events of the festival are also great to attend with families, including movie screenings for children.

The festival takes about 2 weeks in total.

If you want to do multiple activities, I recommend using the map that I included in this article before deciding what to do in Tribeca to see which places are close to each other.

Some of the places that I mentioned in the article are located immediately next to each other, which means that it is very easy to walk from one place to the other. For example, you can find the Grand Banks oyster bar next to the miniature golf course on Pier 25.
